1 OCTOBER, 2007 - Last Tuesday the Plainland Hotel won the Pub-v-Pub pool grand final, held at the Laidley Hotel. Plainland were victorious over the Hattonvale Golf Club team. The stage was set with the Hattonvale team not ever winning the premiership and the Plainland Hotel having not beaten them all year. The Plainland team upset the red hot favorites to win convincingly 5-0. The inter-pub competition includes seven teams from Laidley, Rosewood, Marburg, Mulgowie, Hattonvale and Plainland, which compete each Tuesday night.
